The Dell LATITUDE E6430 with a solid selection of ports, including some you won’t find everywhere else. On the right side sits an ExpressCard/54 slot, a rarity among even business notebooks, a hardware Wi-Fi switch, an optical drive and three USB ports, two of which are USB 3.0 compatible and one of which doubles as an eSATA port. The back houses an HDMI port, a Kensington lock slot and an Ethernet connector. The left side contains a Smart Card slot, a headphone/mic jack, a VGA port and a USB 2.0 port.
The Dell LATITUDE E6430 The Dell Latitude is a monster; it’s large, it’s thick, but it doesn’t come with an equally large-sized screen. The keyboard doesn’t include a numerical pad. However, it’s laid out well and because of its width, it’s actually easy to get used to when it comes to a lot of typing. The keys are firm and have just the right amount of tactile feel to them. The size of the keys is larger than most of the notebooks that come with the chiclet-isolated keys design. There’s also keyboard backlighting, so it’s easy to work when it’s dark. It automatically turns the backlight off when you don’t use it for a few minutes; you can also tweak the brightness of the backlight.
The Dell LATITUDE E6430 As expected from a business laptop in this price range, a full-sized keyboard is installed although without a number pad due to the case’s 14-inch size. Subjectively, typing on this sample is very pleasant. The pressure point is nice and crisp.
